WheelMates Announced - A Co-op Adventure About RC Cars

Studio Firevolt has presented WheelMates - a co-op adventure where two players control miniature radio-controlled cars and explore the house of an eccentric scientist. Release is planned for 2026 on PC and consoles.
The action of WheelMates unfolds in a strange house full of secrets and puzzles. Players can only progress through the rooms together: the cars must constantly help each other to open new paths and gradually uncover what happened to the mansion's owner.
Each room is a compact playground with secret routes, puzzles, and story fragments. The house reveals itself gradually: narrow corridors give way to spacious rooms with giant furniture, and familiar areas appear in a new light after obtaining upgrades. The developers were inspired by Metroidvanias, so returning to already visited locations plays an important role.
The small cars use experimental gadgets. Jump boosters help climb higher, hooks latch onto distant points, magnetic wheels hold onto metal surfaces, and powerful magnets allow interaction with objects at a distance. These tools open up different approaches to solving problems.
WheelMates supports both online co-op and shared-screen local co-op. According to Firevolt, the team was inspired by classic radio-controlled car games like Re-Volt and wanted to present a new perspective on co-op adventures where the main characters are small but very inventive cars.
You'll be able to get behind the toy steering wheel on PC (Steam), Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. The authors promise to include a Russian language text translation in WheelMates.
