Steam Beta Version Fixed Inaccurate Display of Graphics Card Memory
The Valve Steam beta version only fixed a few bugs, including inaccurate display of video memory volume in hardware reports. This likely affected the monthly statistics of players' computer specifications.
The automatic collection of user system data incorrectly counted memory on some (unnamed) graphics cards. Also, when analyzing hardware on PCs with multiple GPUs, the one with the larger memory capacity will now be taken into account.
Along with the new beta client version, "latest" controllers gained full access to assign additional buttons. Valve also made changes to gyroscope functionality to make it easier for gamers to determine the "dead zone" of sticks in games.
The update should be released in the full version of Steam soon.
Previously, Valve confirmed supply issues with RAM. This not only negatively impacted Steam Deck inventory, but also affected plans for launching Steam Machine and other new devices.
