WWE 2K26, the new installment of the wrestling simulator, has been announced — release set for March 13th

WWE 2K26 will be released on March 13, 2026, and its cover star is WWE World Champion CM Punk — the first time since 2012. A dedicated 2K Showcase mode has been developed for him, where you can not only relive key moments of his career but also play "fan fantasy" matches — bouts that could have happened if Punk hadn't left WWE in 2014.

The game will feature the largest roster in the series' history — over 400 characters, including modern stars like Cody Rhodes, legends like Andre the Giant, and new faces like Rey Fenix. New match types will also appear: Dumpster Match (debut), as well as returning Inferno Matches, "I Quit" Matches, and 3 Stages of Hell.

A key change will be the replacement of traditional DLC packs with the Ringside Pass — a seasonal system similar to a battle pass. It will include 60 free and 40 premium tiers, where you can unlock new fighters, customization items, and exclusive content. The first season starts on the game's release day, with five more planned until December 2026.

The main game modes will also receive major updates:

  • Universe Mode — added draft, universe creation master, show viewing mode, and new promos.
  • MyGM — support for intergender and eight-person matches, increased season length.
  • MyRISE — a branching storyline depending on the chosen alignment (hero/villain) and the ability to continue the career after completing the campaign.
  • The Island — will appear on PC for the first time, with a new story about three factions.
  • Creation Suite — the number of slots for created characters increased to 200, advanced morphing tools and two-tone hair coloring added.

The King of Kings Edition includes the standard version, Joe Hendry content, and a premium pass for 1 season. The Attitude Era Edition adds characters from that era, such as Chyna '97, and a pass for 4 seasons. The most complete Monday Night War Edition grants access to all 6 seasons of the pass, exclusive legends, and the WCW Thunder 1998 arena.

The first gameplay trailer will be shown today, January 31st, during the Royal Rumble broadcast.
