Team spirit dota 2 analyst predicts updated tutorial release soon

Team Spirit Dota 2 Analyst Hints at Imminent Release of Updated Tutorial

Valve has released a minor update for the Dota 2 client. Details of the patch were shared by Team Spirit analyst Denis "sikle" Lerman. According to him, the developers made changes to localization files.

"There's a clear pattern in the game's data: every time Valve prepares to release an updated tutorial, localization file edits appear first. That's exactly what we're seeing now," Lerman noted in his Telegram channel.

He stated that this could indicate the imminent launch of a revised or completely new tutorial mode, designed to improve the onboarding of new players into the Dota 2 ecosystem.

What Changed in the Game

The update itself did not affect gameplay balance and did not include bug fixes. The only point of discussion in the community was an unofficial "bug" with the hero Clinkz: his skeletons deal increased damage to structures because the 75% penalty is not being applied correctly.

"I didn't investigate the exact cause of the bug for long, but I passed the message to check it to the higher powers," the analyst added ironically, referring to the Valve developers.

Why the Tutorial is Important

The current tutorial system in Dota 2 hasn't been updated since 2021 and is criticized by the community for outdated mechanics and insufficient coverage of modern aspects of the game. In the context of growing competition from other MOBAs and the need to attract a new audience, updating the tutorial would be an important step in maintaining the game's ecosystem.

If sikle's assumptions are confirmed, this would be Valve's first major step in years towards improving the new user experience. No official announcement has been made by the developers yet.

Previously, Team Spirit analyst Denis "sikle" Lerman discovered hundreds of new convars in Dota 2 files, pointing to a large-scale overhaul of the tutorial mode. According to his data, the updated tutorial will include a full-fledged scenario with a final boss in the form of the hero Razor.

Recently, former professional coach Timur "Ahilles" analyzed a leak of unreleased items from Dota 2 client files. He was particularly interested in the artifact Crellaʼs Crozier, whose characteristics, in the expert's opinion, could solve the problem of build monotony in the current meta.
