Slay the Spire 2 sold 3 million copies
The thousands-strong online community around Slay the Spire 2 had been signaling success for a while; now the studio itself confirmed it — Mega Crit announced that the roguelike has moved 3 million units and players have run through it over 25 million times.
The team also sketched out what’s coming next for Slay the Spire 2:
- A rework of the bonus/score system plus friend-filtering on leaderboards.
- An accessibility mode aimed at people with phobias (e.g., options to tone down certain visual triggers).
- More illustrations and visual effects.
- Ongoing balance patches.
- Steam Workshop support.
- Additional multiplayer conveniences (quality-of-life tweaks).
- Official Twitch plugin integration.
We greatly appreciate all the feedback from you, as it has already allowed us to fix a number of issues, including some softlocks. We will be adjusting balance throughout our journey to the full release, so please be patient while we analyze metrics and your feedback.
If you prefer trying experimental changes sooner, there’s a public beta branch. To opt in: right-click Slay the Spire 2 in your library → "Properties" → "Game Versions and Betas" → public-beta.
The early build runs only on PC (Steam), i.e., no console release yet.
