At the Paris Six Invitational event, Ubisoft presented the development plan for Rainbow Six Siege for its eleventh year. The main principle is "more Siege, more often." The starting season, Operation Silent Hunt, launches on March 3rd. The game will feature Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid with his own gadget, unique voice lines, and a storyline. Thematic items, a temporary 4v4 mode, a 1v1 arcade, reworked maps, and extensive balancing will also be added.
The second season will bring the Calypso Casino map from Rainbow Six Vegas and a Dokkaebi update with a new primary weapon for all players. The esports section will become more user-friendly.
The third season will introduce the defender Firework, capable of breaching shields.
The fourth season will focus on team play: a social hub, a trials mode, and the Grand Larceny event will appear. The hostage mechanic will be reworked, and the operator mastery system will add depth.
