Back in 2019 Marvel announced "Blade" with Mahershala Ali — yet years on, production still hasn't begun. Team members drifted away one after another; departures piled up and even David S. Goyer was left scratching his head (puzzlement). In a recent interview that Kevin Feige said he’s troubled by how the project stalled, calling the situation a personal failure.
"I feel like a complete failure who has let everyone down because we haven't been able to get the Mahershala project off the ground."
No fresh timeline or concrete signs of revival were offered. For now, whether audiences will ever see Mahershala Ali take on the role remains up in the air — i.e., still uncertain.
