Hollywood's "Naruto" Film Adaptation to Begin Filming This Year, Set for 2028 Release
The long-gestating Hollywood film adaptation of the anime "Naruto" has finally taken definitive shape. Filming for the feature-length movie is set to commence this year.
The production-ready screenplay was penned by Tasha Huo, who has a direct connection to the creation of the original anime. According to her, the film is being crafted not as just another commercial adaptation, but as a work imbued with deep respect and understanding of the world, characters, and their interrelationships within the "Naruto" story.
Directorial duties will be handled by Destin Cretton ("Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," "Spider-Man: No Way Home"). The film's premiere is tentatively scheduled for 2028.
