Cairn Developers Release Patch and Improve Game Performance

Add to Steam

The indie hit Cairn, which recently launched and has already received a warm welcome from players, has received a patch.

The developers announced they have found a temporary solution for frame rate issues on AMD RX 9000 series graphics cards, as well as on the Steam Deck and ROG Ally X. To improve FPS, you need to add a launch parameter:

  • For Windows — -force-d3d12,
  • For Linux and Steam Deck — -force-vulkan.

Additionally, the patch fixes interface display errors during the tutorial and corrects a bug with messages for Turkish players.

Thanks to the new update, the game's peak concurrent player count has increased.

In the game, players control a girl named Aava and must overcome the unique structure of the mountains and harsh weather conditions. According to the developers, conquering each slope will be challenging, but the difficulty level can always be adjusted.
