The archipelago in the marine MMO World of Sea Battle is marking another birthday — captains are invited to the celebration. Events run from July 12 to 25, with a rotating set of activities each day and a one-off seasonal coin to collect.
Meet the Octopuses: the event’s special currency. You pick them up by doing calendar event tasks and by going after loot out on the waves; e.g., treasure hunting, fishing, whale hunting, and stopping at altars all drop some. There are also pieces of holiday treasure maps that grant extra loot — note that map fragments can be gathered up to three times per day.
Spend your haul with the Overseas Trader, who trades Octopuses for gifts. Small print: the festivities are open only to captains of rank 7 and above (i.e., you need to have reached that tier to join). Anything left in your pocket when the event closes will vanish, so don’t let the currency rot in your locker.
