Xbox Game Studios and The Coalition have announced a technical partnership with NVIDIA. Their sci‑fi prequel, Gears of War: E-Day, due October 6, 2026, will include support for NVIDIA’s latest stack — DLSS 4.5 among it. The title is being built on Unreal Engine 5.8 and reportedly targets a steady 60 fps with HW RT even on Xbox Series; on PC, that opens the door to far more ambitious visuals and higher frame rates. DLSS/FSR/XeSS will be available for players who want extra fps and sharper-looking frames. I’ll admit I’m curious (and a bit skeptical) about how those console targets pan out in real play.
