A Full 18 Minutes of Marathon Live Gameplay Ahead of the Public Beta
Studio Bungie has released an 18-minute gameplay video of the extraction shooter Marathon, captured from an internal build of the game. The video showcases a match on the "Perimeter" map, offering a glimpse into the dynamic confrontations within the game's grim sci-fi world.
Marathon is set on Tau Ceti IV, an abandoned colony where players take on the role of biomechanical Runners battling for valuable resources. Hostile C-SEC security forces and rival squads turn every foray into a tense trial: scouting territories swiftly gives way to PvP skirmishes where every bullet counts.
Players will explore dangerous zones alone or in squads, searching for loot to extract before time runs out. A successful return boosts the seasonal power level, unlocks achievement-based cosmetics, and allows for assembling increasingly powerful builds. The more valuable the reward, the higher the risk, as gear will once again be on the line in the next run.
Bungie also reminded everyone that the open testing for Marathon will run from February 26th to March 3rd.
