Release of Norse Tactical Game NORSE: Oath of Blood Moved to February 17th

The Norse tactical game NORSE: Oath of Blood was originally scheduled for release on February 3rd for PC (Steam, EGS, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. However, publisher Tripwire Presents and developer Arctic Hazard have revised the release schedule: the game will now launch on PC on February 17th, with the console versions arriving in spring.

According to the companies, the extra time will allow them to ensure the new title meets their high standards. In the coming weeks, Tripwire and Arctic Hazard will share news, including development details and gameplay breakdowns.

The events of NORSE unfold in Norway during the Viking Age. The main role belongs to a young warrior named Gunnar. The ruthless Steinar killed his father and destroyed his home. The hero must rebuild his settlement, assemble an army, and take revenge on the villain. The story was written by English author Giles Kristian — a writer of historical novels, including the "Raven" series.

In local battles, unit positioning, their synergy, and terrain features are important. All warriors have upgradable abilities, and their equipment can be customized.

Another gameplay layer of Oath of Blood is village management. You must wisely spend resources, assign villagers to work, upgrade buildings, trade with allies, and craft equipment. Eventually, your base will transform into a true fortress.

NORSE: Oath of Blood will boast a full Russian text localization.
