Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake receives age rating from ESRB
It seems that the announcement of the exact release date for the revamped Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is just around the corner, as the game has already received an age rating from the American agency ESRB.
The remake was given a "T" rating for teenagers due to the presence of combat scenes with blood, partial nudity, and sexual themes. In addition, regulators mentioned side-scrolling 2D sections in the style of the original Prince of Persia, which appear when the protagonist dies.
The brief description reads: The remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time has been given a Teen rating by the ESRB for blood, partial nudity, sexual themes, and violence. It is an adventure game in which players take on the role of a Persian prince trying to lift a curse. Gamers must navigate third-person platforming sections, solve puzzles, avoid traps (such as poisonous spikes, wall blades, and saws), and battle cursed soldiers and creatures made of sand. Players use swords and daggers to defeat enemies in close combat. Battles are accompanied by the clang of blades, cries of pain, blood splatters, and slow-motion effects. In 2D sections (similar to the original Prince of Persia), pools of blood appear when the prince dies... ESRB
At present, players can only wait for the full announcement. If Ubisoft's plans have not changed since the release of last year's financial report, the remake should be released before April.
