The Epic Games Store has launched a giveaway for the side-scroller Vornyca and the cooperative horror game Together After Dark
Vornyca and Together After Dark are currently available for free on the Epic Games Store. This pair wasn't part of Epic's usual weekly drop; the devs themselves put these up, and the promo runs until April 5, 2026—so grab them before then if you want to try either.
Vornyca is an adventure side-scroller about the last surviving AI. The story leans on emotional beats and decisions that feel logical rather than arbitrary, and the level design offers distinct maps with unique environmental twists (e.g., hazards or mechanics that change how you move). Visuals feel appropriate for an indie budget—pleasant enough—though the action sometimes slides into repetition; some sections can drag, esp. if you prefer constant novelty.
Together After Dark goes for cooperative psychological horror and supports up to 4 players. The setup is plain: you and teammates wake up in a forest and need to find a way out. Trouble is, you quickly realize you’re not alone. Paranormal events—strange noises, flickers, odd NPC behavior—do a good job of ratcheting up tension; the atmosphere is properly chilling, especially in co-op play where coordination and nerves both matter.
