Spellcasters Chronicles Developers Announce Second Beta Test
Ahead of the Early Access launch in February, Spellcasters Chronicles will host a second closed beta weekend. Studio Quantic Dream has announced the details, marking a new stage in development, and elaborated on how feedback from the first beta test helped implement a series of optimizations and improvements.
The second closed beta test will run from January 29th to February 2nd. All content from the first closed beta will be available, including six playable Spellcasters, the Mausoleum, and the deck-building system.
New content includes a brand-new arena — the Scandinavian Shore. This five-lane arena features open sightlines and harsh environmental conditions. Expect six new spells to add to your decks, five new summonable creatures, three new buildings, and new combat items. New creatures will also appear to keep things interesting.
The beta will also introduce several practical features, including in-game team text chat, a player behavior reporting system, an early version of a ranking system, and a tool for testing Spellcaster customization and Life Stone features.
The first beta was open to North America and Europe, and this version will expand servers to Asia. The team promises a range of optimizations and improvements, including enhanced performance, memory usage, and overall stability. Thanks to these improvements and optimizations, the system requirements have been updated for the second beta.
