Highguard Developers to Hold Gameplay Presentation on Release Day
Former developers of Apex Legends and Titanfall from the independent studio Wildlight Entertainment have announced a full-fledged gameplay demonstration for their free-to-play team-based raid shooter Highguard. The event is scheduled to start right at the game's launch on January 26 at 21:00 Moscow time.
Highguard was first unveiled in mid-December as the final announcement at The Game Awards 2025. Since then, the game has quickly garnered public attention, though not quite in the way the creators had hoped. Many were disappointed that the final reveal spot went to "yet another hero shooter," leading to Highguard being instantly dubbed "Concord 2."
The developers' reaction is also noteworthy. With very little time left until their game's release, the promotional campaign for Highguard after TGA has been non-existent — no interviews, no additional materials, and so on. Just look at the game's Steam page, which contains extremely sparse information in just two short paragraphs.
Highguard is being prepared for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series without Russian localization. During the announced presentation, Wildlight Entertainment will reveal gameplay details and share their content support plan for the upcoming year.
