"Avengers: Doctor Doom" Teasers Rack Up a Billion Views on YouTube and Social Media
Will "Avengers: Doctor Doom" become the highest-grossing film in history? Time will tell, but audiences are closely following the comic book movie: according to Marvel and Disney, the quartet of teaser trailers has collectively amassed over a billion views.
Recall that for four weeks, the videos were shown in theaters before screenings of "Avatar: Fire and Ashes" (otherwise, who would have gone to see it at all?), and then were posted online. The Russo brothers themselves called them not teasers, but "stories" and "hints."
Moreover, YouTube with 60 million views is lagging behind, while the videos were viewed 100 million times on TikTok. But the best performance, a whopping 500 million views, is on the banned social network famous for photos of food.
