At TennoCon 2026, the developers of Soulframe unveiled a big slate of updates. The headline was the Warsongs story chapter — it promises to dig into the hero's past, trace their origin, and clarify what’s being fought over in Midrat, now under Oda’s grip. During the gameplay demo we met Bayora, a new figure tied to the Synod, saw childhood flashbacks with Doien, and watched mounted combat on a wolf; these scenes felt cinematic, if a bit fragmentary. The Vadagar Pact is getting a different progression: instead of the old Virtues system, players will tap into darker, more forceful powers associated with doom and mortality, with wrath acting as a volatile edge to that playstyle. Also noted: fishing will arrive in a future Prelude update, and mounts — wolves first, e.g., — will be tamable and rideable sometime in 2026 (the devs hinted there are more types to come). A new foe, the Mendicant Reinbreaker, is already live after being teased in an earlier Devstream.
