Cloud Imperium Games has returned to work after the holidays and presented an updated Star Citizen. The main focus of the new patch is on deepening the gameplay and introducing dynamic events that affect the economy of the entire system.
Starting January 14, 2026, a temporary event related to resource shortages has been launched in the game. Due to recent large-scale clashes between capital ships and their subsequent destruction, the Stanton system is experiencing an acute shortage of certain materials.
CIG has also confirmed that 2026 will bring changes to the patch release schedule, which will be discussed in more detail in the coming weeks.
