Stop the Panic! There Will Be No Censorship in Brown Dust 2
The developers of the tactical game Brown Dust 2 have once again announced a change in direction. Yesterday, information surfaced online suggesting the authors would massively censor and redesign character artwork, but they have now officially stated they will not engage in such practices on a global level. Currently, all such edits have been completely canceled and will only return to the game under specific circumstances.
First and most importantly, the game will always have a full, uncensored version that no one can alter. New characters will continue to be released in the same style as before.
Second, there will still be some concessions. If the game's content is deemed entirely inappropriate in any particular country, that country may receive a build of the project with censoring edits. However, the requirements of individual platforms will not be able to influence character designs or content.
In the end, the developers have decided not to upset the players while also not going against the legislation of individual countries.
