4 Billion Polychromes, "Angels of Obsession," Harumasa Buff, and Other New Features in Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6
HoYoverse has unveiled details for Zenless Zone Zero version 2.6, "Encore Obsession," set for release on February 6th. This interlude story following the climax of the second season returns Proxies to the familiar Sixth Street, where the annual Gilded Carrot Day will weave a tapestry of dreams and love.
This version marks the official debut of the highly anticipated idol group "Angels of Obsession": agents Sanna and Aria will appear alongside their themed events. Players can also look forward to festive rewards, including an Inter-Knot subscription and a prize pool giveaway of 4 billion Polychromes.
As Gilded Carrot Day approaches, New Eridu fills with a festive atmosphere and anticipation. However, not everything is as peaceful and calm as it seems. The Phaethons take on a job involving illegal AI and reunite with Jane Doe on Sixth Street. But let the secret plots simmer, the festival is coming! Meanwhile, at Club 404 ERROR, the members of the "Angels of Obsession" group, under the guidance of a mysterious mentor, are intensely preparing for their first live performance. Even with terrifying Hollows and unknown dangers lurking, there's always room for dreams and songs in this world, and there are always those ready to protect these precious moments. That's life in New Eridu!
Members of the rookie idol group "Angels of Obsession" can perform joint attacks. Sanna and Aria will be the first to debut in version 2.6.
Sanna is an S-Rank agent with a Physical attribute and the Support specialty, providing unique assistance to Attack and Anomaly allies. Her companion, Bubble, marks enemies with a "Cat's Gaze," and these marks can explode, dealing damage and granting the entire team a powerful attack bonus. Using her ultimate ability, Sanna swings a giant hammer to deal damage and activates rapid assistance, summoning allies to the battlefield.
Fighting alongside her is the lead singer of the "Angels of Obsession," Aria—an agent with the Anomaly specialty and an Ether attribute. Aria has two forms: Construct and Idol Projection. Aria specializes in direct attacks. Using charged attacks, she can deal massive explosive damage to enemies in an Anomaly state.
The girls are always supported by the Bangboo Fanbu, the head of their fan club. It constantly restores agents' HP, and if the team has at least two "Angels of Obsession" members, it also increases the entire team's attack power.
Alongside Sanna and Aria, their cute new outfits will appear, with Aria's outfit featuring a unique dual-form design. Furthermore, this version will see the return of S-Rank agents Yixuan (Aura Ink, Destruction) and Yuzuha (Physical, Support).
In the "Harmony of Obsessions" event, Proxies will become honorary managers of the "Angels of Obsession." You will schedule rehearsals for the members, manage social media, play musical mini-games, and embark on the "Marcel's Grand Adventure" with a new map and new mechanics, helping the group grow and develop.
In addition to the festive event, a new mode—Operation "Matrix"—will appear in the Hollow. Themed stages will open each week, allowing Proxies to experience a wide variety of interesting mechanics. In the new mode, a team consists of three main agents, one Bangboo, and one extra agent. New resonators and special agent equipment will also appear, further expanding strategic possibilities. Moreover, the Hollow now features a quick-clear function, making gameplay even easier and more enjoyable.
Many improvements and rewards are tied to the festival: in this version, agents Lycaon and Harumasa will be buffed, and Proxies can obtain a new outfit for Yinhu Pan for free by completing temporary event missions.
In celebration of Gilded Carrot Day, the "Inter-Knot Subscription" surprise event also starts today: players can receive Polychromes for completing daily missions, with the total login reward amounting to 3300 Polychromes. Furthermore, from February 14th to 23rd, in the festive event "Golden Bangboo Luck Feast," players can participate in daily prize draws and get a share of the huge 4 billion Polychrome prize pool.
To celebrate the debut of the "Angels of Obsession" group, a global support campaign, "Sweetness to the Max," is launching worldwide. The campaign will take place in various regions and will include collaborations with global brands, offline events, and special themed projects.
