"Several new Ecco the Dolphin products and games" officially in development
California-based A&R Atelier, founded by industry veterans led by Ed Annunziata and other creators of the original Ecco the Dolphin, has officially confirmed the development of "several new products and games" for the franchise.
Annunziata, the studio's creative director, promised back in May 2025 in a conversation with Xbox Wire to release a remaster of the early 90s SEGA Mega Drive era duology, as well as a trilogy. The countdown on the official website continues and will end on April 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. MSK.
It took years of preparation, and we are honored to bring Ecco back. Ecco has always been more than just a game about a dolphin — he is a bridge between worlds.
