Peter Molyneux's Final Project Masters of Albion to Launch on April 22nd
A trailer announcing the release date for Masters of Albion.
The creator of Fable, Black & White, and many other iconic projects, Peter Molyneux, and his studio 22cans have announced the release date for the maestro's final game — Masters of Albion. The title, which combines strategy, simulation, city management, and tower defense, will be released on April 22nd.
Masters of Albion invites players to take on the role of a god who governs the small village of Oakridge and its inhabitants. During the day, you build structures, develop production, fulfill orders, and explore the surroundings. You can literally inhabit the body of any character — a villager, a hero, a dog, or even a chicken — and see the world through their eyes.
But Masters of Albion is not limited to construction. At night, cities come under attack from monsters and creatures, and the player must defend the population using an army of heroes, defensive towers, or their own divine powers. With the "Hand of God," you can hurl lightning bolts, fireballs, rocks, or even control people and objects, interacting with the world with almost no limits.
According to the story, the old Albion has succumbed to the pressure of modern technology, but magic is trying to return. The player acts as the Chosen One, endowed with the power of a god, and must protect the inhabitants and confront an ancient enemy using the power of the Mask.
The game world is open for free exploration. You can complete quests, search for treasures, fight bandits in caves, and upgrade your heroes' equipment. The construction system allows for the creation of unique buildings.
In one of his interviews, Peter Molyneux said that Masters of Albion will be an attempt to redeem promises he once failed to keep. Whether this attempt will be successful can be tested on PC via Steam, though it will not include Russian language support.
