Producer Roy Lee confirmed to Collider that filming for "Minecraft: The Movie 2" will begin in April in New Zealand. According to him, the creators have taken viewer feedback from the first film into account. The main request was the appearance of the Ender Dragon—the final boss of the original game—and it will indeed appear in the sequel.
Jared Hess will once again serve as director. Jason Momoa will return as Garrett, and Jack Black as Steve. The participation of other actors has not yet been confirmed. The appearance of Alex is also expected, but the actress for the role has not been revealed.
