Larian Surprises Baldur's Gate 3 Fans with a Relaxing Camp Video and Easter Eggs

The Channel From Hell from Larian usually features streams, discussions, and interviews with developers, but the new video noticeably breaks from the usual format. The studio decided to play on the popular "relaxing music" aesthetic, familiar to players from World of Warcraft, Victoria 3, and other projects, and presented the video Chill Demonic Beats To Long Rest To — a half-hour meditative version of the composition Raphael's Final Act.

To the calm music, animated Baldur’s Gate III characters, created by Spud Gun Studios, spend time at camp. Wyll plays with Scratch, Karlach unsuccessfully tries to get a drink from a barrel, Shadowheart is immersed in meditation, Astarion draws, Gale studies books, and Lae'zel emotionlessly kicks a hacky sack... made from a severed mind flayer head. Just typical camp life, if you live in the Forgotten Realms.

The video is packed with many Easter eggs. Among them is a sign pointing to Baldursgata, a real street in Iceland, which fans of the series discovered many years ago. There are also references to another humorous Larian video dedicated to the launch of modding tools, where the Mod Wizard sowed chaos throughout the world. He appears here too: a giant rabbit brings Scratch "loot," Shadowheart temporarily turns into a tabaxi, and Karlach transforms into a character inspired by the image of Let Me Solo Her from Elden Ring. Gale experiments with ingredients for stew, including a suspiciously magical boot, and then suddenly pulls out a Glock. Astarion's paintings turn out to be so explicit that one of them has to be censored — it depicts Karlach, Larian's head Swen Vincke, and Astarion himself.

Such details once again show that Larian continues to lovingly support Baldur's Gate 3 and keep the community's interest alive, even after release. And the studio has a new chapter ahead: the next part of Divinity, apparently, will inherit many successful solutions from BG3 — from more "lively" companions to meticulously handcrafted loot.
