In Arc Raiders, players discovered the ability to enable first-person view via the in-game console. One user tried out this unofficial mode and noted that it radically changes the feel of the game — for instance, enemy attacks start to evoke the atmosphere of Dying Light, something hard to achieve in the standard third-person view.

Although the developers quickly blocked access to the console, recordings of first-person gameplay remain online. This sparked a discussion in the community: some players now would like to see such a mode officially in the game, although its addition is considered unlikely.
