Going Medieval Strategy Game Reaches Version 1.0
The developers of the strategy-simulator Going Medieval have announced the official release date for the game's full version — version 1.0 will launch on March 12, 2026.
During its early access period, the project received 16 major updates, numerous patches, and a series of 75 Medieval Monday Talks episodes. The game has amassed over 1 million wishlist additions and is now ready to present its final version.
Update 1.0 will bring players a full-fledged endgame, significant gameplay improvements, new content, and a set of achievements. The developers will reveal more detailed information in their official blog on the release day.
For those who have been waiting for the release to get acquainted with the game, a fresh demo version is available. It captures the atmosphere of the first hours of playing Going Medieval. Players will be able to try out the core mechanics, but the playthrough is time-limited — the demo ends at the conclusion of the in-game spring season.
After the release of version 1.0, game owners will receive a special bonus — the ability to build a fox statue. While it may not serve a practical purpose and its majesty remains questionable, it will serve as a symbolic token of appreciation for those who have been with the game from the very beginning.
For the release, Going Medieval will feature Twitch integration. Stream viewers will be able to interact with players — the developers have prepared interesting options for such interaction — and rewards via Twitch Drops will be available for watching broadcasts. The team will reveal details about this feature closer to the release date.
Going Medieval is a survival strategy game with a detailed management system and a sandbox world. Players must build a settlement into a fortress amidst wild lands and lead it to prosperity, creating the most powerful colony on this side of the apocalypse.
