For Frosthaven, the Legacy of the Algox update has been released, adding new characters, new story twists, and much more to the tactical RPG.
The released update has brought a lot of new content to the game, including three new heroes that can be unlocked and played, a new storyline dedicated to the Algox people and their struggle for peace, new biomes, challenges, and much more.
The full version of Frosthaven (1.0) will include 17 playable heroes, and with the Legacy of the Algox update, the developers have moved closer to that number, and now the tactical RPG has 14 heroes.
The Algox themselves are described as "rough, yeti-like creatures," although their culture is shamanistic. The player's role is to help resolve disagreements between the warring clans, the Ice and the Snow.
The new heroes offer a new approach to Frosthaven's combat scenarios. Shackles can redirect damage from allies to enemies, while Astral uses the elements themselves to attack enemies and heal allies. Drill is a machine created from "unlimited parts," and it can absorb your team's damage while you complete your objective.
