The Dutch shipyard Oceanco put out a promo tour of the $500M yacht "Leviathan" — yes, the very one Gabe Newell has owned since November 2025. The nobleman and connoisseur was reportedly so taken by the project, "representing a new philosophy of yachting", that in August of the same year he simply bought the entire company outright.
The 111 m motor yacht accommodates 26 guests in 11 cabins and carries 37 crew; it's packed with features, some expected, some over the top:
- conference rooms
- game room with 15 laptops + 2 racing simulators
- spa / sauna / rooftop jacuzzi
- galley
- underwater lighting
- gym
- basketball court
- onboard hospital w/ on-duty nurse
- satcom and Wi‑Fi
Also onboard: a 3D-print workshop, labs, diving equipment and the kit needed for scientific work at sea.
Built with a steel hull, an aluminum superstructure and composite decks, the Leviathan can reach speeds up to ~17 kts.
