Valve has unleashed another wave of bans on dishonest players in Counter-Strike 2. According to the csstats service, from February 25th to 27th, over five thousand accounts were hit, making this the largest wave since the beginning of 2026.
The main blow fell on February 25th — on that day, the VAC system banned approximately 4.7 thousand accounts. In the following two days, nearly 500 more players received bans.
The developers periodically conduct such cleanups, trying to weed out users of special software that provides an unfair advantage. Although sometimes innocent players get caught in the crossfire, in such cases, the bans are usually lifted quickly.
