No, Highguard is not shutting down yet, but is getting an update with a new map

The developers of Highguard, it seems, are in no hurry to bury their project. Despite recent alarming signals — the disappearance of the website and the publication of concept art that fans perceived as a farewell — the studio has announced a major update scheduled for the end of this week.

The game will receive new content, including a fresh base, a useful tool for raids, and an expansion of the in-game store.

The centerpiece of the update will be the "Cloudrich" base — a fortified airship hangar used by the Iron Guard for repairs and resupply. A huge airship will be docked above the hangar, its deck becoming an excellent vantage point for snipers. Ventilation shafts will appear in the generator building, allowing defenders to throw grenades at attackers. The three bomb planting sites are positioned to encourage combat across the entire base territory.

Furthermore, a lockpick will be added to the game — a new raiding tool that can be used to temporarily block doors and windows, locking enemies outside. Lockpick ammo will drop from chests and barrels or be sold by the merchant Flynn.

The store will be replenished with new mounts and skins.
