Riot Games Unveils "Old Friends, New Bloom" Cinematic for the Lunar Revel Event in League of Legends
Riot Games has delighted fans of League of Legends with a new enchanting cinematic titled "Old Friends, New Bloom," dedicated to the Lunar Revel celebration. The video is crafted in the game's signature cute aesthetic and aims to immerse viewers in the atmosphere of the new skin lines — Lunar Revel and Springbloom.
At the heart of the narrative is a meeting of long-time allies and rivals. Viewers will see Katarina and Yasuo initially display a competitive spirit, but a sudden snowstorm seems to shift the course of their interaction, creating intrigue and adding emotional contrast to the plot. A special role in the video is given to Lillia: her magical flower serves as a symbol of spring, awakening magical energy even in the snow-covered corners of the game's world.
The sound design is equally impressive. The track "Fated Return," performed by H.Jen and Sigrid Rosier with the participation of Jessica Gelinas, harmoniously blends traditional Eastern motifs with a modern sound. The music amplifies the emotional impact of the video and perfectly complements its visual component.
The in-game Lunar Revel event begins with the release of patch 26.03. And in patch 26.04, new skins from the Springbloom series will appear, including the previously rumored Prestige Edition skin for Katarina. Players will be able to purchase skins for all the champions featured in the cinematic and fully immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere. The event will feature three main game modes, as well as a 4X-style strategy minigame.
