Compile heart teases new school rpg from shin megami tensei creator

Compile Heart teases new school RPG from Shin Megami Tensei creator Japanese company Compile Heart has launched The main intrigue of the project is the participation of Koji Okada, legendary game designer and one of the "fathers" of the Shin Megami Tensei series. Okada contributed to the creation of cult Atlus games, including the early parts of Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Summoner. After leaving Atlus, he founded his own studio, Gaia, and is now returning to the industry with a new major project.

The new project will be a school RPG and will combine the everyday life and fantasy traditional for Japanese games. In addition to Okada, Compile Heart, known for the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Mary Skelter series, is working on the game.

Koji Okada's involvement gives hope that the project will be deeper and darker than Compile Heart's usual "light" style of projects. The announcement is expected to be made in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine or via a special online broadcast.
