Developers of the Gothic Remake Prepare to Talk About World and Character Updates
Soon, the team at Alkimia Interactive will publish the fifth development video diary for Gothic 1 Remake. Ahead of the video's imminent release, the developers have prepared a short trailer.
In the upcoming video, the developers will discuss updates to the game world, including locations, characters, local fauna, and more. Special attention will be paid to equipment customization, which affects not only appearance but also stats.
Customization also extends to NPCs. As previously noted, the armor of different characters from the same faction will not be identical—some will have more worn-out gear, while others might be missing an element like a pauldron, and so on.
In addition to updating the original game, players can expect numerous expansions. For example, the scale of the open world has been increased by approximately 10-15%, meaning new objects have appeared on the map between main locations. The developers particularly aim to diversify areas where they felt content was lacking.
Alkimia Interactive strives to make the game as close to the original as possible while making it even more rich, both in terms of visuals and content.
Gothic 1 Remake is planned for release in the first quarter of this year on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, with full Russian localization. The exact release date is still unknown.
