Only a week remains until the release of Resident Evil Requiem, but key spoilers are already circulating widely online. It appears that some players managed to get their hands on physical copies of the game ahead of schedule, and now social media is flooded with gameplay recordings, plot twists, and even footage of the final battle.
The situation has become so serious that Capcom was forced to officially appeal to the community for help. The developers are urging fans to show respect and not spread the leaks. In their statement, Capcom emphasized its desire to preserve the "day-one experience" for all players, so that everyone can experience the story of Grace Ashcroft and Leon Kennedy on their own, without hints from the internet.
The company's legal department has already begun a large-scale "cleanup" — videos on YouTube, TikTok, and posts on Reddit are being removed at the copyright holder's request. However, it has not been possible to completely stop the avalanche of information.
Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled for release on February 27, so there's not much longer to wait.
