GUN NOSE Announcement - A Top-Down Action Detective Game About Robots

Recently, independent solo developer Addy Valentine announced their new project — the isometric action game GUN NOSE, which invites players to investigate a series of murders in the role of a robot detective.

GUN NOSE, gamers will find themselves in the criminal city of Ironwood, where the protagonist Gun Nose is searching for a serial killer while simultaneously looking for his missing creator. A key feature of the title is its semi-procedural non-linearity — each playthrough will feature different victims, suspects, clues, and killers with their own distinct motives.

Don't be fooled by the retro aesthetic, for under the hood, GUN NOSE hides modern game design and technology. While you explore Ironwood, its inhabitants go about their daily lives: shopping, eating, working, sleeping, and remembering what you do. Someone might ask you to find a lost dog. Someone else might challenge you to a race across the city, and so on.

But these aren't just NPCs. Every character in GUN NOSE is handcrafted and possesses a unique design, personality, backstory, and schedule. You'll learn about their habits, daily routines, and relationships. But be warned, in Ironwood, anyone can become a victim or a killer...

Every criminal is created based on a specific motive and method, with unique behavior and visual characteristics. They come in all shapes and sizes, but they always hide in plain sight. You'll have to identify them through interrogation and meticulous examination of the crime scene. Some leave clues. Others leave nothing. But knowing is only half the battle. Once you've identified the perpetrator, you'll need to take them down... Addy Valentine
