Studio So Romantic presented Pin-Crawl — a strange mashup where pinball meets roguelight and dungeon crawling. It’s headed to PC and consoles, though no release date has been shared yet.
You control Morgan, a witch, and her squat, slimy companion Smush. Together they descend into a dangerous dungeon to take on an evil sorceress and try to free villagers trapped by her spell.
Everything plays out like a pinball table. You’ll batter monsters with magical flippers, trigger boosts, cast spells, etc.; Smush zips around the board while Morgan delivers the main attacks.
The levels are said to be handcrafted and presented in pixel art. Enemies get tougher as you go, and you’ll unlock new abilities, upgrade stats, and hunt down rare runes — progression that leans on loot and skill, not just repetition.
Spells hook into the playfield: e.g., hitting ramps can freeze foes, bumpers might restore HP. Other pickups let you spawn extra balls or buff your strikes, so layout + timing = tactics.
There’s a slow-mo feature (slo‑mo) to help aim tricky shots, reach tucked-away pockets, and land more precise hits on enemies — basically a targeting aid when chaos erupts.
Studio notes a parade of odd creatures and escalating challenges on the way to the sorceress’ final fight. It sounds lively; whether the randomness clicks for you is another question.
You’ll be able to try it on PC and on yet‑unnamed consoles. Only Eng. localization has been announced so far.
