AMD Prepares Ryzen 10000 — Zen 6 with 6 to 24 Cores in Seven "Flavors"

According to the latest leak from reputable insider HXL, the next generation of AMD desktop processors, codenamed Olympic Ridge (Zen 6 architecture), will bring the most significant change to the core structure since the launch of the first Ryzen.

We already knew that a single Zen 6 chiplet would contain up to 12 cores, meaning the processor package could house not 16, but a full 24 cores. Now, the insider claims that AMD has decided to create as many as seven models with different numbers of computational cores.

As a result, Ryzen 10000 is expected to be sold in the following "flavors": with 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, and 24 cores. The last three chips will use two chiplets, while the first four will have one CCD (Core Complex Die). And yes, all these cores are full-fledged, not reduced Zen 6C or "energy-efficient" ones like Intel does.

It's worth recalling that Ryzen 10000, including the top-tier models, will be easily installable in existing motherboards with the AM5 socket; only a BIOS update will be required.

Incidentally, the new architecture will also allow for the reduction of the already compact Zen C cores, enabling AMD to create server processors with up to 256 cores inside.
