The developers of the Alan Wake 2 remaster have released a major update for the PC version of the game. It includes:

  • HDR support;
  • Increased maximum frame rate from 200 to 240;
  • DLSS technology improvements;
  • An additional camera style mode.

The authors also added the ability to scale the interface and fixed numerous bugs related to mouse controls. They also fixed a bug that caused user settings to reset. The behavior of vegetation in the wind has been adjusted, and now everything works as it should even at 30 FPS. Camera operation and weapon switching times have been balanced.

Recall that Alan Wake 2 was released in October 2023. The head of Remedy studio called the launch successful, and critics rated the sequel higher than the original. And Larian's Director of Publishing, Michael Douse, stated years later that exclusivity on the Epic Games Store hurt the game's sales. The authors of Alan Wake 2 disagreed with him and thanked EGS for their cooperation.
