New Testing for Spellcasters Chronicles Launches with New Map, Spells, and Other Features
Quantic Dream has opened the second phase of closed beta testing for its upcoming fantasy MOBA game Spellcasters Chronicles, which will run until February 2nd. The MOBA genre is competitive in every sense, and Quantic Dream is trying to break into it by offering a format similar to Magic the Gathering. Players build a deck of cards, then divide into teams of 3 and battle, taking on the role of spellcasters, summoning creatures, building fortifications, and casting spells, rather than choosing a Hero with unique abilities as is customary in traditional MOBAs.
The beta content includes a new map, 6 new spells, and 5 new summonable creatures for your deck, as well as 3 new buildings. This second closed beta also introduces a tutorial and training on some of the game's intricacies, as well as a text chat for strategic planning and a much-needed player reporting system. Early versions of the spellcaster customization system and ranked matches will also be presented.
Quantic Dream stated that this closed beta focuses particularly on performance, memory usage, and overall gameplay stability to ensure a smoother experience.
