Yujiro Hanma from the "Baki the Grappler" Manga and Anime to Appear in Tekken 8
Bandai Namco revealed the identity of the last DLC fighter for season three of Tekken 8. The pick is unexpected: Yujiro Hanma, pulled straight from the pages and screens of "Baki the Grappler," will guest in the roster.
"Baki the Grappler" began in 1991 and—surprisingly to some—still publishes new chapters; it tracks Baki Hanma as he pushes his body and mind to topple his monstrous dad, i.e., the very reason the series spirals into ever-larger fights and absurd feats.
That father is Yujiro Hanma, who’s slated to appear in Tekken 8. In the original work he functions as the antagonist and carries the infamous label "the strongest creature on the planet"; his skill set covers virtually every unarmed discipline imaginable (e.g., grappling, striking, military-style combat), while weapons are off the table.
The reveal trailer showed none of Yujiro’s in-game model or actual gameplay—so for now it’s mostly hype and questions. Expect him to arrive in early 2027. Meanwhile, Kunimitsu, the kunoichi, is due sooner: she is set to join on May 27 for season pass holders and becomes available to everyone else on June 1.
