In August, EA will discontinue support for Apex Legends on the first Switch
As reported by Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment, Season 29 of Apex Legends will be the last for the Switch version of the battle royale. The companies emphasized that the game will continue to operate as usual on the Switch 2.

What you need to know about the closure of Apex on the first Switch:
- Starting August 4 (Season 30), the shooter will no longer be available on Nintendo Switch.
- Until August 4, users can play and earn rewards as before.
- Starting August 4, in-game premium currency will no longer be available for purchase on the Switch, but existing funds can be used until the same date. Any funds from the Switch 1 can be spent on the Switch 2.
- All progress, purchases, and earned items are tied to an individual EA account. Everything earned or purchased, including Apex Coins and "cosmetics," will be transferred to the Switch 2, even if you purchase the console after August 4.
- Important: In some regions, local laws require the use of digital currency within 180 days of purchase.
In addition to Nintendo devices, Apex Legends can be downloaded on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
