NRG Captain on Counter-Strike 2 Assesses Krakow Performance and Explains Inferno Failure
The captain of the American NRG Counter-Strike 2 roster, Nick "nitr0" Cannella, summed up the team's performance at the IEM Krakow 2026 tournament. Despite an early exit following a loss to Team Falcons, the team's leader found positive aspects in his squad's play.
Lack of Preparation
Cannella noted that the result could not be called a failure, given the circumstances. The team approached the tournament with minimal preparation—having only official season matches and a short five-day bootcamp under their belt.
"I think the final result isn't that bad... We came quite close to achieving some really important and big wins here. <...> I'm very proud of my players."
Problems on Inferno
Analyzing the key map of the match against Falcons, nitr0 admitted that NRG's attack looked "disheartening."
- Causes
- Players lost duels and made mistakes in small details.
- Psychology
Cannella promised that the roster would continue to train hard to show an "improved version of themselves" in the future.
