Updates to Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed 4 Remake Websites Stir Fan Excitement
Online activity related to the domains for the remakes of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2026) and the unannounced remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has been noticed. For example, the statuses of the domains princeofpersiathesandsoftime.uk and assassinscreedblackflagresynced.com — visible in the screenshots below — have been switching between "active" and "inactive." New data entries have also appeared.
This flurry of activity has genuinely excited many fans, as it could hint at imminent news about the long-awaited games.
There were rumors that the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake was planned for release this month. However, its official release window is listed as the period up to March 31.
Recall that the remake was announced back in 2020. Initially, it was developed by Ubisoft's Indian studios, Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune, but in 2022, the project was handed over to Ubisoft Montreal. Last November, a presentation of an early version of the game was leaked online.
As for the (unannounced!) remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, it recently surfaced on the PEGI website. And it appears to have received the title Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. A potential release date for the game could be the end of March this year.
