A user online spotted a banner in Japan that may indicate an upcoming announcement of a re-release of Tom Clancy’s The Division titled The Division Definitive Edition. Many are now speculating that Ubisoft could unveil the project soon.
The Division team is currently in Japan, where the FPS Day X event is taking place. The developers are also preparing to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first game in the series, which was released in March 2016.
If this anniversary "premiere" happens, it won't be the only project in the franchise. Ubisoft is also working on the mobile game The Division Resurgence, preparing a major update for The Division 2: Survivors, which promises a "refreshed take" on the survival gameplay in The Division 2. And, of course, we shouldn't forget about the development of The Division 3.
According to the franchise's executive producer, Julian Gerighty, the third installment will be "huge" and will require a significant amount of time to create.
