IO Interactive put out a short note on the "Rules of Espionage" — part manual, part sly promo — and used it to show off bits of gameplay from 007 First Light. It's the sort of thing meant to tease rather than explain everything, so expect a few theatrical moments and implied practice.

If Bond is going to survive the 00 life, he follows a compact handful of habits — more instincts than doctrine, i.e., quick guidelines that matter under pressure:

1. Blend in with the crowd — don't invite attention; walk like you belong and let others do the noticing;
2. Always come prepared — MI6 issues kit, e.g., gadgets and tools meant to tip tiny odds in your favor;
3. Be ready to improvise — when the tidy plan breaks, use whatever's at hand and make a new plan on the fly.

007 First Light will be released on May 27, 2026, on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and in the summer on Nintendo Switch 2.
