Windrose Pirate Demo Released on Steam - Players Are Pleased
Crosswind Crew decided to show everyone what their cooperative survival game Windrose looks like nowadays and released a demo version on Steam. It includes Russian language support, and the trial has been rated "Very Positive" at 93%, peaking at 2.4 thousand buccaneers.
The developers offered 4-6 hours of the game's beginning to explore, with no time limit. Launching the demo grants a decorative spyglass for the full version.
Content and Limitations:
- The first three islands of the Archipelago;
- Early quests and the first real ship, naval combat, and boarding;
- The game's core mechanics, including early crafting and building, as well as a selected set of weapons and several enemy types;
- Co-op play for 2-4 players via direct connection to a host, without dedicated servers (currently, there are connection issues, the team is investigating);
- Progress will not carry over to the full version.
In the online survival game Windrose (formerly Crosswind), set in an alternate 18th century, players can expect both cozy homesteading and base building, as well as chaotic battles against humans and monsters. The release is scheduled for 2026.
