The creators of the action RPG Crimson Desert have shared new details about the project. In an interview with Game Informer, they stated that the game world will be larger than those in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2.
The developers are focusing on player freedom and a broad protagonist progression system. This way, every gamer can have a unique playthrough experience.
The story of Crimson Desert revolves around the main hero, Cliff. The protagonist must gather the remnants of a disbanded mercenary band and take revenge on those who took the lives of his comrades. During the mission, the team will become entangled in a much larger and more dangerous adventure.
Gameplay will consist of world exploration, character progression, completing quests, and battles with enemies. Both common foes and powerful bosses.
The studio is putting considerable effort into creating monsters. Working on some of them required unexpected creative solutions. For instance, to record the sounds made by a metallic dragon, they had to use a jacket and a hose.
Recall that Crimson Desert will be released on March 19, 2026. It will arrive on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
