"5v5" Mode in Highguard is Now Permanent, Not Temporary

Reviews of Highguard often mention that the maps feel a bit too large for the current "3v3" match format. Last week, developers from Wildlight Entertainment temporarily introduced a "5v5" mode, but it has now been decided that it will become a permanent fixture in the game.

The player base split fairly evenly between the two modes, which helped the team make the final decision to keep the new mode.

The comments under the post and on Reddit are filled with celebration. Those users who decided to stick with Highguard are delighted with the new mode and praise the developers: "You can feel the difference. Matches have become more dynamic and exciting. There are still plenty of problems in the game, but this is a step in the right direction."

Some were amazed by the speed of implementing "5v5," leading to speculation that work on the mode had been underway for a long time. Thanks to this new feature, people are "finally starting to talk about Highguard in a somewhat positive light."

Highguard is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series under a free-to-play model. There is no Russian localization. Since its release, the game's user rating on Steam has slightly improved — reviews are now fluctuating around the "Mixed" level (43%).
